Has anyone done a rear window defroster on a coupe? I'm thinking it would be fairly easy to do using something like this...

What's this defroster's compatibility with window tint film. I ask because you are going to want to tint that rear glass---it's like a greenhouse in there on a hot sunny day! On a sunny 80 degree day my buddy Aaron's Coupe AC could not keep up prior to tinting and now he finds that he is actually turning it down.

Good question. I've tinted over defroster elements on several cars with no problem, but if I had to choose tint over a defroster, I'd choose tint.

I would think it would be fairly easy to install by the video but wondering if you would ever really need it and how often you would be driving if the conditions are that cold. Definitely worth it if you do plan to and would be curious how it goes if you do. Jeff is right about tinting the rear window as a must in the heat and worth a conversation with the tint installer or manufacturer in case the heating elements get too hot and potentially melt the tint. Good luck!

I was thinking more about those hot, humid mornings and having the glass fog up, but with a rear view camera mirror, maybe that's not a real concern.
