Of all the things I've done so far this by far took more internet searches, You Tube videos and calls to Factory Five than anything else. Please take a look and feel free to critique. Of course please hit the SUBSCRIBE button. THX

I enjoyed the video. A couple things to look out for before the body goes on. You will need to trim back your dash cowl back quite a bit since your dash pushes back into the cockpit. The rear wire grommet might interfere with your rear splash guard. It might not but better to figure that out now.

Otherwise looks good. If you ever change your mind on rivenuts in the back 4mm fit pretty well.

It will be slightly ahead of the splash panel. Builder's choice but for what it's worth, I run that plate wire up through the trunk floor just forward of the rear roll bar leg stub rather than out into the wheelwell and back in.

I thought about using M3's actually, 4's would be better, but at the end of the day drilling out 8 aluminum rivets is not that big of a chore. If it were steel rivets the story would be different. Not sure exactly what you mean about the dash cowl and same with the rear grommet. Can you send a pic?

So we're talking about the wires that run to the plate light correct?

Yes Jeff said it would clear so your probably fine. Just open the manual and hold up the elephant ear to the body and make sure it doesn't sit over the grommet.

The dash cowl is the the roll on top of the dash that folds under and comes into near contact with the dash. This traditionally needs to be trimmed so the body can slide forward enough to fit. Usually 1/4 or so. You may have to go a bit more to get your body to fit. I will say this, I took 1/4 off of mine and have too big a gap now so you might be just fine but when you test fit the body be prepared to take it back off and trim it.

In this picture it's the round bit that sits above the gauges.

Excellent, thanks. I actually spoke to Dan and told him I stood off just a shade under a 1/4" and he said that should be fine so fingers crossed.
