Throttle Cable - So my 2024 MK4 is on the road finally and had it's first parade. Over 30 minute drive to parade, long time low speed/idling in parade and all went well. Half way home and while accelerating, the throttle went to the floor. We pull into a school parking lot and debug. The inner lever connection of my Mechanical Throttle Linkage was slipping. Allen screw was located in the upper part of foot box so not an ease fix/access. I did not hear about the roll pin suggestion till after the body was on! So we improvise. Asked a random home owner for some string and made it home safe driving by Wire. Now creating an access panel to fix with roll pins or the tapped hole with pointed set screw. 14 months to build, 2+ months to get thru NYS DMV. See build thread Kit 207937 in FFF for NYS DMV detail. Enjoy rest of your holiday.

love it!
if you end up doing a roll pin, leave a portion of it out so you can pull it out with some channel lock pliers from under the dash while upside down if you need to in the future.
I thought my set screw would hold as well until the lever slipped while go karting.

I had this issue on my MK4 also. I could not get it to work properly, so gave up. Under dash lever is impossible to get to. May be ok if you can make the proper fixes with the body off, but not after it is on.
Just installed Breeze pedal and Lokar cable. Turned carb around backwards for gentle bend in the cable. Works like a charm. My old mechanical linkage is still 1/2 in the car.
