Hi all and happy 4th,

Was removing and reinstalling the calipers when I over torqued caliper mounting bolts as shown in photo and it looks like the inner thread of the nut is stripped because the nut spins but never advances on the bolt when I'm trying to take it off. I was thinking of trying to use a screwdriver to pry it upwards to get some threads to catch. Will also try using pliers and pulling it upwards. Let me know if there’s any tricks to get the nut off. 215918215919

Jam a flat bladed screw driver in there between the nut and the caliper body.

This description is confusing. The caliper mounts to the bracket. The bracket has a (female) floating pin that the caliper bolt screws into. The floating pin can spin and all my (metric) applications have a hex to hold the floating pin from turning. Thin open end wrench required.
Also in your photos is the caliper mounting bracket attachment to the axle housing. That fastener appears to be a bolt and twelve point flange nut. Is that twelve point nut the stripped thread problem?
If so, try driving a thin chisel between the mount bracket halves to put outward force on the nut while un-screwing the nut/bolt.
Worse case you may have to split the nut with a chisel. Replace the nut and bolt if there is thread damage.
