Hi all,

I had no issues installing the drivers side arm with the whitby insert but with the pass side, I have two of the holes lined up, the bottom two holes, and the top two don't line up. They are off by a 1/16th inch. See pics

I have tried slightly moving the insert towards the top of the slot and towards the bottom and still haven't been able to get them all to line up.

Also I haven't drilled out the holes of the arm because I don't want to re-countersink it and don't wan't to be able to see the remaining un-used countersink portion.

When I took the insert out on the passenger side, I noticed that it was pushed in further than the drivers side by about a 1/4 inch. Is this normal or could it be part of the problem.

Thanks!

Is it possible that it could be flipped end to end? Take it back out and lay it on the arm and see if it lines up. If it doesn't line up call Whitby or just cut it in half and line up each half.

I had the same problem, and as Mike describes, it didn't matter what orientation; the holes didn't line up. I could make either the top two or the bottom two holes line up, so I cut the insert in half.

I did the cut in half trick as well.

Easy, don't waste money on the insert
