Hi all,
This thinking of getting a lift. Mostly for storage.
Anyone have any recommendations on a lift that fits a low riding Cobra.
Thanks,
Mark

I have a Bendpak 2 post asymmetrical lift. It is very useful for working on vehicles, especially suspension work. If you never will need to work on a vehicle, then a 4 post lift is the ticket. A 4 post lift is free standing. I do use my 2 post lift for storing a vehicle sometimes.

I have a 4 post lift with the primary intent for storage - https://mechanicsuperstore.com/collections/car-lifts-4-post-lifts/products/triumph-classic-8-000-lb-shorter-length-4-post-car-lift. I have a two-car garage and wanted to be be able to park my daily driver below. No issues with clearance and the ramps. The lift I got is the short length model which fits the Cobra perfectly and takes up less space (but I can still get a regular size car/SUV on it if needed). I have also found that it is very useful for working on it, including suspension work when using the bridge jack. I also use it for detailing - much easier to clean the wheels when they are at waist height! One of the best purchases I have made.

I have a 9k 2 post and love it. My MK4 was on it much of the build and made it MUCH easier on my back. When not in use I keep the arms at top and then it does not take up much floor space. Just one post since other post is by the wall. I can store the MK4 or other vehicles up just like a 4 post as there is a lock. 4 Thoughts - One space the posts so that front arms are at the 24" width or make an adaptor like I did to reach/span the 24" tubes. Two - MK4 is too low for most lifts so drive on 2x4" to raise. I just had to put my MK4 on a 4 post for an inspection and wood was required there ALSO so 4 post may not have any ease of use advantage other than less bending over. Three - If a 2 post buy one that lifts above your head so you can walk under when raised and not in use. Four -I use the 2 post for lawn mowers, golf carts and lifting things, so quite universal especially with some simple wood or metal fab. adaptors. It depends on your needs.

I have two 4 post lifts from wildfire. I have the wildfire exotic and use it for storage and mezzanine of sorts. I also have the wildfire xlt which is great for working on all my vehicles. I have a bridge jack which works really well. If I need more access I put the car on 10 ton truck jack stands. Absolutely love it and will never go back to a different kind of lift. I also really like the customer service from wildfire. World class.

I like my lift from Bendpak. The reason I chose it is that I t has the highest lifting option I could find. I'm 6'4" and I can walk under the car.

If you go with it, it can be installed in two widths. Make sure you go with the wider option. I initially went with the narrow, and the arms will not be able to lift a small car like the roadster.
These lift discussions are almost like discussing religion or politics. You mentioned using it for storage, which should point you toward a four post lift over a two post. Although you can leave a car on a two post lift, I wouldn't recommend it. Keep doing your research and get what works best for your intended use.

Four post all the way. I went with the Atlas lift which holds up to 8k Pounds(can't ever imagine needing that much). Store it at the tallest setting and I can fit my daily driver fully under it. Also works great for working on the car. Has a bridge lift that you can move forward and aft. You also don't have to bolt it to the floor like you do with a two post lift. And it comes with casters so you can move it around.
Get the Race Ramps which are very light and longer for lower cars. 215828215829
