My build has stalled... life, kids, career, etc. Looking for a shop in or near Portland OR that is familiar with Mk4 builds and can help complete my build. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks!

Contact Mark Dougherty
(aka: The Traveling Builder)
He's the big dude in video link below:

Dave Smith and the entire Factory-5 Community know him well!

Good Luck!

Closer to you in SoCal is Frank Maslowski “Frankeeski” and “i.e.427” here on the forum. Super talented meticulous builder who has completed stalled builds for others.

Thanks for the reference... but with Mark Dougherty being at about 2,800 miles away from where I live, I was hoping to identify a person or shop closer to home. Portland OR would be ideal, but anywhere between Oregon and Washington state would work. Thanks

Thank you for the reference on the West coast. However, with Los Angeles being 970 miles from where I live, I was hoping for a reference in the Northwest. An individual or a shop that have worked on Factory Fives before would be awesome. Thanks

When you say “help” do you mean “take over and complete”or do you mean “help you get going again and guide you as you complete the build”? I don’t have any contacts for you but clarity might help people give you advice….

I’m in Tri-Cities, WA and Frank (i.e. 427 Garage) is finishing up my MkIV right now. I would highly recommend him to anyone on the west coast. I rented a U-Haul car trailer and towed my car down to LA. It was 2 days down and 2 days back. Now I’ve got to get my car back from Frank. If you’re interested, I think we can find a way to get your car down there and mine back on the same trip. I PM’d you my phone number.

Marty,

I would reach out to Frank and have a chat with him. This is a pretty special skill set and more importantly you want someone that can do it right. He can be reached in the supporting vendors section of the web site. Good dude, very knowledgeable and generous with his time and advice.

Best of luck!

Dan

Marty,

Please, Please, Please, Don't Give Up!
It took me five (5) years to complete REDBONE because life kept getting in the way.
We all want to see you succeed even if it means bringing in help or sending the car to someone to complete.
The Journey Is Worth It No Matter What Path You Take!

Frank talking about his new project….

Thanks Dan. Appreciate the share.

Martin and Amanda are really great folks. We spent some time with them, the day they brought the project down to us. And although we have a couple other projects in the shop, they seemed very relieved to find someone willing to take on the project. We're really excited to see another one that's going to get finished.
