Up for sale is my Factory Five 818, a labor of love that I’ve poured countless hours into building. It’s been a blast to drive, especially with the convertible top, and was taken out weekly when life allowed. I started the process of switching to the hardtop, but with kids’ activities and other family interests taking priority, it’s been sitting untouched for too long. This car was a special project and it has brought some memorable time with my daughter. She is upset that we don't have time to work on the hard top and has been adamant about getting to learn how to drive the manual when she gets bigger. The timing just is too far off, and I really don't want it sitting for much longer. I want this car to go to a home where it can be driven, enjoyed, and maybe even finish the hardtop with the same passion we put into it.

Details:

Not much has occurred on it since my last updates in my build thread here:
https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?17197-bbjones121-Denver-build

Convertible top included hardtop was still in progress (installed, just never got the windshield or door sliding windows in place).[/INDENT]

Model:

Factory Five 818S and the 818C conversion kit

Condition:

Titled and registered in Colorado. Excellent running condition. Was driven regularly with the convertible top, air ducting from side vents to intercooler and water mist injection (tank behind passenger seat).

Location:

Denver, Colorado

Features and Extras:

so many...

I really recommend you check out my build thread I was updating. You will be able to see my meticulous work including, steering rack de-powering, powder coating CV shaft parts and engine parts, brake calliper FFR logos, etc. Also, I didn't have the car powdercoated from Factory Five so that I could weld and do some changes for sliding seats, HVAC system, new front-end mounting, etc. before a final custom gunmetal powdercoat was put on. To be absolutely honest, all this extra detail and the building and taking the entire car back apart for powder coating, is exactly what ended up wiping out all my motivation.

It is tuned for E85 but has an ethanol sensor to adjust for premium octane gasoline. Engine is a new STI shortblock with nitrile crank and the heads are WRX rebuilt with higher performance valves/springs (the setup has a better compression ratio). Turbo is a

One of the very few quad custom exhaust 818s out there.

It has ABS that functions, and it has a fully customizable Racelogic traction control that I never got a chance to use.

Iwire wiring harness with pretty much every option you could get. AC, ABS, racelogic traction control, rear engine bay light, sound system, door sliding windows, etc.

Vintage air HVAC system that is in place, just never wired up. All parts to do so included.

Extra interior panels, it has the basic ones plus the premium versions with soft vinyl. I was in the process of finishing the premium dashboard.

Full sound system with 7 separate speakers. It has separate upper front tweeters, lower midrange speakers in front, rear midgrange/tweeter combo speakers, and a sub mounted to the firewall between the seats.

3D printed center console was finished to replace the one that is shown in my build thread.

Total of 6 gauges to monitor all vitals: 2 gauges in center console and 4 gauges in dash. Notable options are wide band A/F and a dual temperature air for the intercooler effectiveness. The rest are oil pressure, oil temperature, turbo boost, water temp.

Oh yeah and I have a full Subaru Rally Blue Plasti-dip spray kit (like 4 boxes of stuff) I never got around to.

Reason for Sale:

Family commitments have shifted focus, and it deserves an owner who can give it the time and love it needs.

Asking Price:

$26k
Serious inquiries only, please. Happy to discuss the build process and answer any questions. I have TONS of more photos if needed.
