OK now that the engine is in and I'm now hooking up oil pressure sending unit thermostat etc. The fan thermostat wires and electric choke wire come out of the loom on top of the engine so do you connect fan wire to the temp sending unit or does it connect separately I'm using a rpm air gap manifold and it has 2 options for sending units. Is this what others do? I'm looking for any advice that could give me some direction. Here are some pictures of what I have.

You are going to end up with 2 sensors, one for the temperature gauge and a second sensor to turn the fan on/off. You can use the other hole in the manifold for the other sensor. I don't believe you can run both off of the single sensor. The gauges should have come with a sensor and the fan with a seperate sensor unless you are using a thermal switch that sticks into the radiator.

OK that makes much more sense the wiring manual isn't real clear as how it's hooked up. I think I'll hook it up at the 2nd engine port thanks for your help.

Assuming you are using the RF harness, the water temp sensor will install into your intake. I have mine on the passenger side. You could also run it to a bung in the radiator but I prefer the intake. Your green thermo wire will connect to the sensor. Once the sensor reaches its rated temp it will close, the green wire will go to ground and energize the fan relay, sending 12 volts to the dark blue wire connected to the fan through the front harness and then turning the fan on. That same green thermo wire can be used for an override switch if so desired.

OK I will do it the way you described sounds pretty straight forward thanks

So the the blue water temp wire and the green fan thermostat switch go on the same sender? Correct?

The green thermo wire will go to the sensor. The dark blue wire in your front harness is what connects to your fan and is the positive lead (+12V) to that connector with a black wire (chassis ground) for the other side.
You should have an electrical book that came with your kit. It has electrical diagrams and you can trace the path of each wire.

OK, after taking a break ifrom the hot garage then came back a few hours later after reading the electical diagrams again it finally the light came on. I'm learning more about electical than I ever wanted it's just not my strong suit but thanks to everyone’s help I managed to get it done. 215649215650215651
