This is just me having fun as we wait for our Coupe to be delivered this fall.

If you want a quality rendering of what your car will look like when it's done, find a professional artist. However, if you just want to experiment with a few color combinations, than here you go!
These are simple line drawings that you can color with a "Fill" tool in most paint programs like Photoshop or Photopea. Just imagine you're back in grade school using crayons in your coloring book.

Like my scenic artist friend says "It's far from perfect, but perfect from afar". The wheels on the 3/4 view aren't great, but I didn't really care because this was mostly about testing colors.
Have fun, and post up your results if you're so inclined.

Jon

Cool!

I never learned Photoshop. I still use Microsoft Paint!

If you want something just as capable as Photoshop, but is much wallet friendlier, then take a look at Affinity Photo 2 (https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/).

There's another thread about color combos and honestly, AI is amazing at giving very realistic renderings.
Here's what I got by typing in "65 Daytona coupe in Randyapple red III in urban setting".

AI is becoming really fun to play with, those are pretty good results.
I'm a product designer by trade and prefer to do my own drawing, but for quick iterations there are definite advantages to using AI.

Thanks for sharing that.

I agree with the above AI comments. I used Microsoft Co-pilot, uploaded a reference picture of a Cobra, and then told the prompt to change the base color and stripe colors to specific color codes and it did an amazing job. I then took it a step further and asked it to give me different views of that same new color combo (front iso, front, rear iso, etc). Again...it nailed it. I took it a step further and told it to make the dash carbon fiber, and change the seats to high backs with saddle leather. The outputs looked pretty awesome. It did do a couple of funky things on some of the images...for example one side had bumperettes and the other side had quick jacks. Nobody but us would notice these details. Definitely a great and super fast way to visualize your dream....with no Photoshop experience necessary.

Here's my amateur attempt at using Photoshop after watching a few YouTube videos. Light blue is original, teal is my edited version:

And here's AI after uploading the reference image and providing only text prompts on what to change:

The AI renders are fun, I played around with that a little this afternoon and as mentioned there are some weird anomalies.
I would ask to change the color of the stripe which it did, but it would also change the shape of the car and the wheels. Still, a pretty nice visualization tool.

However, this old school person building a replica of an old school car is going to stick with the color by number for now :D

Here's my AI result

I agree, AI renders are a great tool to use when researching paint schemes. I recently found Chat GPT and it spit out the below pictures from some pics I uploaded of my car in gel coat.
