I did a fit test of the windshield and marked the post. With the frame down tight along the body so there are no gaps at the rubber seal I have a measurement of 27.5" on both sides. I like a higher rake for wind line of site and wind buffeting. I wont ever put on a top.

At any rate after I pulled the frame back out you can see my driver side is pretty centered but the passenger side is off center by a bit on the side rail. Does this have to be a problem or just one of those quirks of the Factory Five experience. If any of you guru's can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. you can see the windshield set looks pretty clean.

My posts weren't square from side to side. What I mean by that is, at 27 inches of angle per FFR, the driver's side windshield post bolt holes were not centered in the post, but the passenger side was. I think as long as your lower windshield rubber seal looks square on the body, and you windshield is at a consistent angle from passenger to driver's side, the bolt holes will be where they'll be.

Cut the slot in the firewall extension down a little deeper. That will allow the windshield to move back a little more. You will most likely need to slot the fiberglass back a little as well.

Thanks Frank! That’s what I was looking for

OK so I think I figured it out. Frank was right the firewall extension was keeping me from moving the frame back. It looked right but I never measured from the leg of the frame back to the cowl. I was close to a half an inch further from the cowl on the passenger side. So technically it was cockeyed. This was because the firewall extension we interfering. I had to get a little jenky with it to trim it down. I have no interest in removing the body again so I managed to feed a burl on a drill down in there and grind the top of the cutout a little deeper.

Jeff has said he can tell how well a build was done because he gets to see it with it's cloths off. Please don't judge me too harshly here. I left the first set of marks on for reference. You can see the second set is where it should be now that it's slid back where it belongs.
