Hello, I have a complete kit arriving in a couple of weeks. As with most people, life got in the way of getting to this point. Planned to get about 10 years ago. Started building a Contemporary Cobra in the 80's, but my pockets weren't deep enough. Sold to friend that completed it with 427 and top loader 4spd. I did the paint and drove it a few times, until he sold and bought a Ferrari. New project is Coyote, T56, IRS, AC. Plan lots of mods along the way. This is to be my retirement fun time.
Welcome, and Happy Retirement!
Can't wait to see what mods you have in mind, since we're also starting the build of our Type 65 this fall.
Where are you located?

I'm located in Ft Worth Texas. Haven't had a project car for many years. Past projects 69 Camaro 427, 79 Corvette L82 and a 78 Chevy van sleeper. Would easily beat Vette, but not Camaro. Looking forward to this build.

Power steering rack question
Rod ends are a bit different, one did not come with jam nut. Grade 8 mount bolts are 1/2 13, parts pack has grade 5 nuts. Grade 8 nuts are 1/2 20. There is an unmarked bag with thinner nuts that fit rack, but look like a low grade. Pic in manual shows washers to install. not in box or on parts list in inventory. One more question, cutting inner tie rod, FFR supplied rack no need to cut and a donner needs to be cut?

That's odd you received two different tie rod ends. Were they in regular retail boxes? Factory Five has typically provided Mevotech tie rod ends. The one on the right looks like a Moog. Probably wouldn't hurt to use as is, but wouldn't be my choice. Some tie rod ends use castellated nuts and a cotter key. Some kits came with only nylon lock nuts. Looks like they provided both. As it says in the manual, the lock nuts are OK. I prefer using a cotter key. Start a box marked "extra parts." You'll have more in there when you're done. Washers are kind of a mixed bag. Sometimes called out in the manual, sometimes not. I often add them even if not called out. The build manual is a collection of stock and current pictures. Don't take them too literally if things don't match the verbiage or the parts provided. It happens. I wouldn't worry about the different grade bolt and nut. Personally, I'd wait to cut the tie rod ends until later when doing your first alignment. Unless it's obvious they're completely too long.

i have a question about irs brakes mounting brackets. Spindle has M14 holes, bracket has 1 M14 and 1 M12 hole. Both caliper mount holes are M12217915217916

I've been making a little progress. Now at a roller status. Got help from neighbors to remove body. Fuel tank is in, and i have started to do hydroboost brake mod with unit remote mounted in drop trunk box. Lots of plumbing to do.221732221733221734

Hydroboost mod progressing slowly. 2 steps fwd 1 step back. Need new wilwood pedal for single master cylinder. Stock manual has 2 single master cylinders. Remote mount reservoir needs 5/8 hose. Will have same amount of fluid as reservoir.223585223586223587

Hydroboost mod is about 90% complete in trunk drop box. On to do list is final install remote reservoir. Made 5/8 to 1/4 adaptors for hoses, the 5/8 hose looked terrible, they probably held as much fluid as bottle. In work connecting pedal box to slave cylinder and running line to front brakes. The power side from pump is just starting, it will make loop through steering rack with cooler and variable assist control valve.
Picked up online a brake line fab tool, works great, when lots of custom lines are needed.
