I have had my MKIV on the road since September and now that the Texas summer is ramping up, I want to find a way to keep the sun off my noggin and keep the seats from burning my backside after it has been sitting for a minute. Does anyone know where to get what I think is being called a bimini or bikini top that is made from fabric? I have seen the hard ones but I want to be able to put it on and take it off quickly and not have to worry about where to store it. Just want something to keep the sun off. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately the gentleman who was doing these (Dave) recently passed away. I don't think anyone else is doing them.

They do pop up here and on the Facebook group (Factory Five Builder) for sale occasionally. Keep an eye out (or post periodically in the WANTED) section...maybe somebody has one sitting around they don't use and are willing to part ways.

There was a post just recently on the Factory Five Roadster Builder’s group page about a vendor of Lemans T-Tops. Might be a bit pricy for what it is but he is offering a discount code through the end of the month. He also mentioned he’d be at the London show if you are going to be there. I’m not affiliated nor do I have one of the tops so can’t speak to fit or quality etc. if you aren’t a member of the group I can at least send you a pic of the ad if you want to PM me.
It’s a two piece fiberglass top that is supposed to fit in the trunk.

You could make one yourself:

I've seen some aftermarket Bimini fabric tops made for older CJ Jeeps. Those could be repurposed by someone that can sew canvas.

I saw two of those fiberglass tops at the show in London this morning. Pretty nice looking and nobody was getting a sunburn.
