I guess Fathers Day would be a good day to post about my dads cobra. He might have posted on here a few times, (Rustyrim or Rustyrims) He often lurked and learned a bunch from this forum. We picked up the kit in 2021, He was 71 at the time. Spent the next 3 years building it by himself. He got the car registered and on the road in 2024. Drove it a couple hundred miles. He passed in January. I sold my 56 F100 truck and decided to keep his Cobra for now. There was (and still is) some unfinished things and odds and ends. He wanted to make it "old school" like he remembered them back in the 60's/70's. No roll bars, no side pipes, 15" wheels, british racing green etc. 351W with carb, T5 , 8.8. I have driven it about 100 miles so far. Today being Fathers Day I made sure to take it out for a cruise.

I have questions, but I will ask those in separate threads.

I can't think of a better way to honor your dad. Condolences for your loss. I'm sure this Father's Day is particularly tough.

Old school clean look, I can identify with that. Your Dad left you a piece of his legacy.

What a wonderful legacy. I hope you have many great times driving and tinkering with the car. I am sure he will be right there with you.

Probably the coolest thing I will read/see today. Thanks for sharing. I think of my dad regularly when I am working on my car, especially when I am blessed to have my kids by my side.
