Hi guys,

I am opening my roll bar holes for the 2" bars. When I purchased the bars from FFR I also purchased a set of 2" grommets. I completed the passenger side without too much fuss. not really all that complicated. I started with the front of the bars and test fit them, again without any real excitement I test fit the grommets and they look great.

Then I opened the back leg and tried to fit the grommets and it's not even close. I don't understand what I am missing. There is no way that I can tell they will tilt to the angle of the back leg as you can see in these pictures. The are also much wider than they need to be. It's almost as if they are too wide and not long enough. I am more than a little confused. I searched the forums and can't find anyone else with this issue in the past.

This is fully assembled. You can see I didn't remove any more material than necessary. You can also see the angle of the grommet and bezel isn't close.

I tried to kind of force it a little and all it does is gouge the bezel.

The circular ones fit fine.

Can any of you old school guys tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

After digging a little deeper I think what I did wrong was use FFR bezels. Instead of making the back leg the right shape I think they just added a bunch of excess rubber for under the bezel. I might need to audible.

I used Mike's: http://replicaparts.com/roll%20bar%20trim%20ring%20page.htm for my Breeze roll bars.
