I just came across this and was curious—does it truly live up to the claim of being complete and drop-in ready? I've followed several Coyote builds using engines from Ford Racing, and many of them required oil pan swaps and other modifications to achieve proper fitment. Has anyone here purchased this engine package and can share their experience?

No I haven’t purchased it but they list all the things you have to do to it to make it fit already done. You can see from the picture the oil pan has been changed. I think you’re good.

I was going to go this route before pivoting to a 427. Seems like money well spent to have FFR do all the prep work.

For anyone that has ordered this package, how was the process for you? Did you just send the $20,990 ($21340 with carbon fiber cover) without getting any kind of sale invoice first? I seem to be having a hard time getting anything from them. I placed the order on 11/12, the same day as my MK5 order. I received my sales invoice for the MK5 kit the next day via email from Travis. I called and spoke with Travis on 11/19 after not getting anything regarding the engine order. He spoke with someone while on the phone with me and told me they received the order and that they would send an invoice later that day or the next. Still nothing from them. Yesterday morning, Amanda emailed saying she received my final payment for the MK5 kit and so I asked her if she handled engine orders too and she said no but gave me Dan and Dave V. email addresses as they are supposedly the ones that handle them. I sent them both an email yesterday morning and am still waiting on a reply. I called again today and it just had me leave a message for someone to call me back. I'm about to just send the payment over but not sure if I need to have a sales order number first.

I did. Had a misunderstanding with Mike F, and FFR had one that someone backed out on. Worked out great.

There is no deposit section on the factoryfive-at.com site when ordering the engine/trans package. For the MK5 kit, yes. No problems at all with the kit order.

Update: Was able to speak with Dave V. just now and he is going to email me an invoice with a sales order number so I can make payment. He said they're currently waiting on the next batch of 10 engines from Ford Performance. 5-6 of them are already sold, so I should be able to get in that next batch. Thank you to Jeff for helping me get in contact!

I have ordered at least 10 from them. Very complete and a great value.

I had a similar experience as you placed my order for the car in September and shortly after for the engine and transmission with the deposit. I never heard anything back so I called and finally got a hold of Dave he said he sent me the invoice over for the engine and transmission. I checked junk mail and everything I never got it so I followed up with him and he finally got me an invoice for the engine and transmission, but I originally ordered the carbon fiber cover. I sent several emails over the following weeks after the car was delivered and never heard anything back. I got a call last week from Cunningham transport saying that they had an engine delivery for me and it was gonna be $500. I should have the engine tomorrow or Friday finally. I still haven’t heard anything about the hundreds of backorder parts that I’m missing which is annoying but guess I’m not alone.

I'm waiting till I get my back ordered items before I order the engine package; there's no point putting the cart before the horse if you know what I mean. Stuck in limbo with missing back order stuff. Don't need an engine if I can't install it!

I ordered one with my MK4 kit a few years back. Everything I needed came with the package and it was very smooth to install and yes, fired right up and still runs beautifully.
