Body Buck, MkIV, in San Diego

I'm looking for a Body Buck for a Mark IV Roadster somewhere near the 92078 zip code (North San Diego). I have a kit arriving in August some time.

Jay, i built mine without a buck. Just hung the body in the ceiling of my garage using a kayak winch.

I think I still have a spare winch if you want it.

Hi Mark,

I like it. Did you find the head room above the frame but below the body got in your way or was it manageable? I've got a short ceiling, maybe 9 feet. I'm short too though.

Looks like you used regular wheel dollies for the frame as well. How did that work out for you?

Jay, I usually wheeled the chassis out from under the body when working on it, then wheeled it back under again for storage. Worked out well. Those dollies worked well too. You could work on certain things while under the body but it was easy to wheel it out at the start of the day then wheel it back under again later.
