Hi all -
Looking for help.... I tried getting ahold of someone at Gas-N all week and no callbacks, so looking here.
I have a FFR MK1 that I want to add Gas-N Touring pipes on a 1971 Ford 302. I have attached pictures of the Collectors/J-pipes, Connectors, whatever you want to call them, that I currently have on the vehicle. Also, a front picture of the header connections. The FFR pipes that are on the car now are a 3 bolt connection, but the Gas-N pipes are a 4 bolt connection. So, I am trying to figure out what I need to change this out for the Gas-N pipes.
Those that have made this changeover, am I going to be able to find the correct connection or am I in for new headers?
TIA,
Mark

It appears that the day-to-day operations at GasN is changing hands. I ordered pipes many weeks ago and i'm struggling to get an estimated ship date from them.

Hey Lewma,
does that mean you weren't happy with the FFR pipes on the coupe?

I ordered in March and got the exact same response on the phone when I talked to Horatio. I may just cancel the order at this point.

My plans were to get them installed before I took a 10hr drive up to Nevada. I spoke to them in March and they said no problem pipes will be ready for you in May. Here's June and we're no further forward.
The stock pipes from FFR work fine, you just need really good noise canceling earbuds, coupled with earmuffs. I took a couple of longer drives before going to Nevada. Forgot to properly turn on my earbuds. People were talking like androids for a couple of days after the drive.
Stock pipes are loud.

If you are going to complain about shipping, please create your own Thread instead of high jacking mine with something that is completely off topic.

yes you will need a 4 bolt set of the exhaust headers. I also have a Mark 1 so have gone through the process of converting to the 4 bolt headers Plus installing the touring pipes. I do have a "few" miles on my set of the touring pipes. I am running a carb so no O2 sensor was needed. IF you are running EFI then when you order the exhaust pipes check to see if they have a threaded in the header pipes. From what I saw at the FFR's open house most of the headers had a threaded "plug" for the O2. The newer version of the headers are adjustable to help center the side pipes to the body cutout for the pipes. I have had no issues with gas-n-go pipes. The side pipes shine even after a hard rain! Just use a cloth to wipe the side pipes, and the shine is back. I was doing that a lot at the open house!!

Actually Mark you only need the J pipes and not full headers.

Man, I wish I had know about this a few days ago---I could have grabbed you a full set of new ball flange headers at the FFR Open House garage sale for $150. They're all gone now :(

Hey Jeff -
No worries.... I am just going down my list and didn't hit this in time...LOL New Ball Flange Headers would have been nice, but it is what it is... Thanks anyway....
OK, so, J-pipes for FFR?? That is what I was thinking, but wanted to be sure.

Thats why we check with Jeff...I forgot that they had created the 4 bolt J pipes to replace the early 3 bolt pipes! I had purchased and installed the full headers.
