Electricity is Voodoo. No on really knows how it works and if you run across someone who does that person is a witch and should be killed with fire!
That is all.

If people only knew how much Electrical systems and plumbing had in common. Honestly if you understand one the other is in your grasp

I'm never not going to see this cartoon when I look at any electrical system until I die.
Thank you?

FWIW, early in my engineering career I worked for a company that made instrumentation for process control (power plants, refineries, large scale food processing, etc). It was the end of the life of pneumatic instrumentation but refineries were still using it. We had pneumatic controllers that had circuit boards with air flowing through the traces. Attached to these circuit boards were air driven resistors, capacitors, amplifiers, logic gates, etc. a schematic for one of these controllers looked just like an electrical schematic and even used the same symbols. Everything from the controllers, recorders and displays in the control room to the individual measuring instruments and control devices in the plant operated on 3-15 psi of air. Refineries were the last to go electronic because of the concern for an electrical spark causing a fire or explosion.

I was a union electrician for 40 years IBEW local 11 , with the Francis wiring harness this car was the easiest thing I ever wired !

English sports cars and beautiful women..
Are fun to play with
And easy on the eyes..
But neither one of them are wired very well.

I'm EFI, and every time I see that I think no, that's just how it really is. :p

A good reminder of the difference between a pro and an amateur! This project has been such a learning experience for me—especially pointing out how much I don’t know. Plumbing and electrical is usually something I leave to a pro!

Pulled my dash last night to chase an electrical gremlin. I was reminded that I just stuffed it all in behind the dash when I was getting ready to get it inspected. It all worked and I said to myself that I will clean it up the next time I am in there... Well the LCS is in 10 days... Lets hope I can get it corrected and stuffed back in there in time.

All I remember from my HS electronics classes is something about young Violet and she's willing....Lol
I'm helping a buddy build his Coupe, and I thought the wiring was going to be a huge hurdle, and it honestly wasn't. It ended up being kind of fun. The only real challenge is trying to make it look organized, looking ahead for serviceability, and making sure things are secured so problems don't arise in the future.
That being said...we haven't put a battery in to test everything yet....hopefully when we do, none of the smoke escapes.

I know how it works, and it’s yet to fool me in 44 years.

I agree! Wiring is fun. My RF harness was nicely labeled precluding too much screw up. Well, none, actually.
As good practice dictates, keep all the connections solid. Solder every spade/ring, etc connector you can (don't forget the heat shrink prior to soldering) then wrap the connection with RF tape. It will look good and last the life of the car.
