I have a gen 1 with a Moroso 9.5 qt pan. I was looking for a consensus on how many quarts people are filling them to with filter. 9.5, + 1 for the filter, brings the level way up the stick when reading. Moroso says I need to remark the stick but that didn't make sense to me. Whether you have a 10 quart or 100 quart pan, doesn't the stick tell you where you should be from the distance of the crank? Thanks.

There is plenty of room for more oil using the Moroso 9 1/2 quart model. I run 10 quarts, but 10 1/2 is fine as well. And yes, you could re-mark the dipstick. Just depends on whether you can remember exactly where "full" is. That is personal preference in my mind.

I use a Holley Coyote Swap pan on my '02 Mustang (Gen1) and it's an 8qt. pan (same as stock) including filter, and also track the car. No problems at all. Too much oil can give you headaches. Why suck a large sump? That sump must hang pretty low unless they TEE the pan.
