Howdy folks,
I'm looking for spray gun recommendations. I won't say that price is no object, but I would like something decent. I expect it will be used for occasional future projects.
I am working through the bodywork on my roadster and nearing the point of applying Slick Sand. While I will have access to a high quality base/clear gun I do not have anything for applying the primer. The TDS suggests a 2.0 Tip.
As always, thanks for your help!

Go to Harbor Freight with a twenty dollar bill and pick up one of their purple guns.

Bring it home and drill the tip out with a #44 bit which is 2.16mm. Turn your air pressure up so that you have 35-40 PSI triggered and send it! When you're done you can clean it or throw it away! Seriously. After having been through a couple of dedicated and somewhat expensive primer guns that were temperamental or performed poorly I've been using one of these for a couple of years.
TIP: Do your first two coats of SS straight up but for the third add 10% acetone. It'll build a little less but will lay down and flow out better.

Thanks Jeff - Really appreciate all the guidance you provide to us!
It's always great news when a HF tool can solve a problem... means more money for other stuff!
