Could anyone please recommend someone to help build my 30th Anniversary Roadster? Although, I dream of building the entire car myself, I would like to seek "expert" and "experienced" help with the build. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Helps to list the state you live in. I have a buddy in Tucson that helped me with some important stuff. www.520speedworks.com .

Have you considered build school. Factory Five used to give credit towards your purchase if you attended build school and you get to build one along side some very talented instructors. The build school takes the mystery and fear out of the build. Building to me was almost the best part of my Anniversary Mk4.

IMHO If you want it built right build it yourself and take you time. Go to build school. Find out where your local FFR family is. Have build parties. Have fun.

If you have it "professionally" built you are going to have to limit cost and usually this comes in the form of a rushed build or cutting corners.

The builders available to you are professional builders in that they have built many Factory Five vehicles. From my experience, it is the customer that ends up being the biggest crutch to the builder and you end up getting what you paid for.

While certainly in person help would be nice, this and the other forum are both tremendous resources. Get used to taking cell phone pics and posting them and, after doing a search on your topic, start asking Qs.

All builders listed have great reputations. Henry Renaud in FL is another option. There is some satisfaction building your own car however. I took on this journey with minimal car experience in the past. You just need a curious mind and willingness to learn. Build school is a great option. Also find someone's build thread and follow it from beginning to end to identify pearls and pitfalls.

Another option is to consult with i.e.427 (Frank) here on this site. He is a supported vendor and is out on FB & YouTube and has videos that keep the owner and those who watch updated with the progress. A great resource for all things building these cars.

You have a ton of experts on this forum that will help with your build. A big part of the Factory Five experience is this community. Review a variety of build threads, create a plan and go for it. The forum will never leave you hanging with whatever advice you need.

There is nothing like hands on in your own shop. Asking for a bit of help is a great idea, but would only work if the "mentor" was local to you. Where you located?
