I wanted Boig tubes, but only the lower is available, so I made my own.

This is what I had. Ugly, but functional. It got me through my first start and worked fine.

213851
I ordered this from Summit Racing. Cut it down to get this.
213852
Put beads at each end. Now, all I needed was a filler neck.

213853
Ordered a SS filler neck and cut it down to where it would fit on the tube properly. I had a friend Tig weld it on.

And this is the result. I think I'm into it about $100, maybe less.

Love the ingenuity. So many possibilities open up once you know how to weld. Well done!

Thanks guys. I've seen other designs that had some bends in them, and after looking at this for quite some time, I decided that a 90* bend was enough. To be honest, the rubber collar on the thermostat housing has a slight curve to it. So it's probably coming out of there at 95 or 100*.

I think your solution is very cool! Well done!

I think the stock FFR setup is absolutely awful looking with all the random bits and pieces.

At the risk of offending anyone with that setup, I have to agree. The flex tube is just not a great look. Add the filler neck and rubber collars and it is just a mess. Of course, this is just my opinion and I have been known to be wrong in the past.

It is a bit of a Rube Goldberg contraption.
