Hey everyone, I'm about to start building my MK4 Roadster and excited to join the Forum!
Ordered pretty much everything and the kit delivery is scheduled end of May.
Happy to connect with the like minded folks, share the knowledge and learn something new!

Welcome! I’m in manor and drive my hot rod around Austin, and do autocross and Harris hill in it. Happy to help wrench or drink beer if you ever need it!

Thanks James! Will definitely be looking to meet you! I joined the Texas Cobra Club and we had a meet up in Marble Falls last weekend. I rode my chopper there and it poured on the way back... but it was fun!
Welcome to the forum. I met you in Marble Falls. Great looking bike, but was thinking it might be kind of scary in the rain! Reach out with any questions or help needed. There are quite a few FFR builders in the area. To be included in the Austin Cobra club directory send your info to Seagull81on this forum, or me.

Welcome to the forum! I'm just north of Austin, building an MK4 (4 yrs into the build) and just about ready for 1st start. There are quite a few folks in the area with FFR builds.

I spend my time with Spokes car club (autocross) - feel free to come to any event, it’s free to watch. Spokes.org.
Or DM me anytime to meet up!

James, I was very active in the Spokes in the 70's. That's where I met my wife. We had an event once a month, River City road races and big autocross annually during Aqua Fest. Twice a year we ran a hill climb below Mansfield dam (road is gone now). Lots of great memories and friends. I've lost track of just about everyone over the years, and I know many have passed.

Very cool! I hear a lot about the old locations from good friends like Tom Holt who has been doing this for decades and still going strong! You should pop by sometime
