Designed with the enthusiast in mind. Looks like it might make transporting our cars a little easier.

I saw that same article - agree, it looks like a great option for track days. Unfortunately I've called around and it's not widely available yet. None in our area. I was hoping to track one down for an upcoming track day. I hope they get them out there eventually.

The deck height of the 'traditional' U-haul is 23", but with 6'6" ramps vs the Toy Hauler's 8' ramps, the approach angle on the traditional is 17 degrees, and the Toy Hauler is 11 degrees. Helps a little bit.

They make a "lift" trailer that drops the back down to load Electric Scissor Lifts.
The back of the trailer drops down to the ground!
I was contemplating using one of these to move my car!

I glanced the article but didn't see the weight of the trailer itself. If my Mk4 weighs-in at say 2,300 lbs, and my Ford Explorer hitch limit is 5,000 lbs, that leaves 2,700 lbs max on the trailer weight (and I'd like a bit of safety margin, too).
The current U-Haul I've used weighs about ~1,800 lbs. Curious about this new one.

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like pretty shiny metal, so maybe it's an aluminum trailer which would keep the total weight down.

Just rented an enclosed 20 foot trailer built for car hauling from a local guy that advertised on this site. About the same as a u-haul trailer but enclosed.
