Hey Y'All,

I've been studying my MkIV Roadster RF harness drawing, and I think the brown wire (which is a part of the accessory circuit) is supposed to connect to the "field" connection on the back of the alternator, but I'm not sure...

When I Googled what the "accessory" wire connection's purpose was, it replied that it is for either a warning light or for more sophisticated analysis by a Vehicle's ECU...

These do not seem to be the same purpose.

Here's a picture of the back of my alternator (provided as a front accessory drive package on my Forte' 427 SBF): 213310

Can I get some help to figure out what to do with this brown wire and whether to connect to the alternator or not?

Much appreciated :)

All I have on my 1-wire is a 150Amp fused 4 gauge wire, and a ground. I did not use the brown wire.

Thanks Greg! :)

That's a big relief...back to worrying about other things

P.S.: I noticed you installed a 150A circuit breaker for your build. I had planned for that, too. Maybe watching too much "Roadkill Garage" :p

Indeed I did! And ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, or so they say.
