What is the best method to polish/maintain JetHot chrome color side pipes? JetHot recommends using a metal polish yet they only look good for about 15 minutes. They tend to stain or discolor with exposure to almost anything. If you accidently spray some spray polish on them when cleaning your car, it almost always leaves a tarnished area that just won't wipe off.

JetHot says the actual 'polish' is small amounts of aluminum held in suspension in the ceramic coating. There has to be some way of keeping them in better condition.

Suggestions, Ideas, Experiences?

I had my side pipes done at JetHot as well and I haven't had any discoloration. I've been driving mine for a little over a year now and about 1300 miles. I use metal polish on mine.

Paul, I had Jet-Hot on my 1st car, and the only thing stained them was melted plastic. Mine wasn't 'polished' though.

Like cdurbin328 I had my side pipes done by JetHot in the classic polish 1300. I have 5+ years and over 6,000 miles and they are not and do not discolor at all. Something seems strange if they are discoloring. Have you contacted JetHot?
