I have the vintage gauges on a Mk4. Which wire do you use to power the lights on the gauges? (Red wires on gauges) Is it the dash harness wire marked courtesy lights?

You should have a brown “gauge feed” in the harness to power the gauges.

Not up on the new harnesses but you’ll want to pick up something that comes on with the parking/running lights controlled from the headlight switch. Should be something in the wiring diagram that would lead you in the right direction.

Kit supplied Ron Francis harness, right? (Always good to specify) The gauge lights are powered by the WHT-DASH LIGHTS wire. There are a couple of them in the dash harness. Daisy chain to all your gauges. The wiring diagram in the center of the Chassis Wiring Harness Installation Instructions lays everything out pretty clearly. The verbiage in the instructions is OK too. But I find the diagram the most useful.

Courtesy light wire goes to the LED strip option. The light switch rotates to activate it.
