Finally did it. What a journey this was.
I got plates for my roadster on 4/25/25. PIcked up the kit on 6/20/09 - 15 years and 10 months.

4.6L V8 Supercharged, IRS, T56 6 speed.
As many find, life gets in the way of the dream including 4 kids, working in NYC everyday with late nights, and walking away from the project when issues seem unsolveable.
Thanks to both forums, the many friends I made along the way, all the great vendors, my families patience and Sergio who inspired me to pick this engine combo.
Here it is:

Beautiful!
What did you use for the triangular shaped indicators to the left of the tach?
And the glove box...was that a DIY project or aftermarket vendor? FFR does not offer a glove box option with a competition dash layout.

Congrats Chris. I am in Jersey too and building a kit with a modern engine as well. Wonder if I could speak with you about the inspection and emissions process in NJ.

Hi Jen,
The indicators is just a piece of aluminum that I shaped with a drill, file and sand paper, then coated. I used the donor dash indicators with LED's behind them for the left, right and highbeams. Did something similar in the lower center dash for the battery, trac control, brake, ABS and check engine lights. The glove box was a old vendor Alex's Customs, don't think he is around anymore. It is a plastic box and door, I sent him the leather for the dash and he did the door. Latch is from a old VW site. As for the Dash, I got FFR to send a blank one and laid our the guages the way I wanted them.
