It's with a heavy heart to write of the passing of SJDave. This was first mentioned by topherchrisb in the bimini thread but I wanted to mention it in the general forum for those that may not be following that particular thread. I spoke with the family and received their blessing to relay this sad event. For those in the SF Bay Area who were fortunate to have met Dave, as well as those that corresponded with him via this forum, we'll all know what a loss this is. Dave was ALWAYS willing to help others (either with advice, loaning tools, or offering his machining expertise) and will be sorely missed.
I knew Dave for only about a year and loved his zest for engineering. He was so excited to be learning 3D printing and all the possibilities (and challenges) it would open up for him. I can't say enough good things about him. Rest in peace Dave!
