My truck is a running go cart and I'm about to reinstall the cab. When I removed the cab from the chassis after shipment, I had four people to lift the cab off the chassis but I still got scratches on the rollbar. Before I reinstall the cab, I want to protect the roll bar and door frame from scratches. I see a lot a guys use painters tape on the roll cage, but that doesn't offer much protection. A couple questions: 1) Is there enough clearance between the cage and the body during installation to use foam padding (pipe insulation foam) on the roll bar? 2) Any recommendations for the installation procedure to minimize scratches? I assume that I'll be doing this multiple times, so I'm hoping to learn from other's experience. Thanks

The foam pipe insulation is a bit thick. First, the cab can be spread apart pretty wide, after all it's fiberglass. I suggest you try painters tape with heavy duct tape (like Gorilla Duct Tape) over the painters tape. That should solve the scratch issues.

That is the best way, I second that motion!

To be honest, once the cab is on, you'll never see that side of the roll bars anyway.

Thanks Chris, I was going to mention that...
