Does anybody know of a less expensive option than what F5 offers for the windshield wiper kit? I know it is a British car kit and have looked at cobbling together a kit of my own if one isn't available.

I'm installing a setup from Specialty Power Windows, model WWK-2. Several others here have installed this kit too.

I've been researching marine wiper kits. Like the Seachoice self parking wiper kit. (not sure if I can post a link to it here). The shaft for the wiper arm comes right out of the motor, no cable hardware needed.

+1 for the Specialty Power Windows wiper kit. Not only is it less expensive, but it's a significant (IMO) upgrade over the FFR kit.

+1 on the Specialty Power Windows kit. High quality components, good company, straight forward installation. There are some good posts on this forum that document installation.

Another thumbs up on the specialty wipers kit. I installed it in my Daytona, and have another ready to go into the Mk4.

Anyone that has already done one on the Mk4 have any input on what to use to mount the transmissions? A while back I think I saw someone with a 3D printed plate with a hole that they were adhering to the underside of the body?

Also, anyone have a good source for the chrome wiper base/bezel for the top side of the body?

I know the stock FFR kit has pieces for this, but the specialty kit is missing them.....

Here's a link (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?31167-Greek-Guys-Garage-Roadster-Build-9509-(Nice-shoutout-on-Insta-about-my-build)&p=519002&viewfull=1#post519002) to the post in my build thread on how I mounted mine. I used the bezels that came in FFR wiper kit, but I seem to recall that afterwards I found a source for the bezels. I may be "the place that shall not be named" but I'm not positive.

My son made the 3D transmission mounts and printed them out of ABS filament (better heat resistance and durability than PLA) - I am happy to share the 3D file with anyone who wants it - send me a PM.

I used the chrome wiper base/bezel from Cobra Performance which fit perfectly - https://www.csxparts.com/p-1296-wiper-gear-box-outer-trim-with-gasket-and-nut.aspx

These are what the transmission mounts look like. The large one goes on the underside of the hood and the small one goes inside the chrome bezel for structural support.
