Hi guys,
I tried a quick attempt to see how the headers will fit and it seems clear that the hex studs will have to be removed first. Very tight in there!
What is the guiding wisdom moving forward?
Reinstall the hex studs? and are there torque specs for this?

Or get new header bolts and again, torque specs?
Best header bolts?

I used allen cap screws and a ball end allen wrench.

Chris,

I’ve used Stage 8 locking bolts on all my builds. They never loosen but are kind of a PIA to first install. Coupe is easier than a roadster though.

Ditch the OE studs. The added length will make it hard or sometimes impossible to install the headers. Looks like you found that out. Some will cut them off and that helps. But my preference is bolts. There are various aftermarket bolts that can be used, as others have mentioned.
