Been reading decade-old posts about front sway bars for this car on the other forum and I reached out to Ted (from quick racing products) who sold the original front sway bar kit. He said he has enough parts to build 1 more but, unfortunately, he's tied up in other things and may not be able to get to it. If anyone knows someone else who offers something similar (or something close), that would be great. Otherwise, I may attempt to design one myself (that's probably inferior to Ted's). :)

I bought one from Ted last year.
He took 4ish months to deliver, but.....
It is a fabulous piece of kit.

Have you contacted Mike Forte?
When I built Redbone he offered a 3/4" and a 7/8" bar.
I purchased a 3/4" (.75") bar from him since I didn't want the car to push.

That gave me hope. In that case, I might wait a bit before tackling it myself.

Is this for the Roadster? Will it work on the GTM?

I've been running his sway bar for years now. Well worth the wait.

Why do you want a sway bar? I would only install one if you are going to track quite a bit. You don't need one to outperform 95% of cars on the road. You will definitely get a harsher ride with a sway bar.

I won't be going to the tracks every weekend but there will be track days. I'd like to push its limits every now and then :)

You'll perform like a 992 GT3 without sway bars and have a smoother ride.

Happy to know it handles relatively well. I'll keep that in mind.
I may hold off until I can drive my car so I can see for myself. I'm only looking into a sway bar based on what I read on the other forum.

I agree that the GTM performs quite well without sway bars.
My opinion is that the car is pretty softly sprung as delivered from FFR.
If you start pushing the car's limits in cornering the soft springs will be realized.
We initially tried just upping spring rates to deal with the body roll issues.
With increased spring rates the ride got much harsher.
We then went to lower spring rates and added sway bars.
While we still run relatively lower spring rates, they are higher than what FFR provides.
Since we have gone to custom race shocks, the ride has become much harsher again due to the aggressive valving.
My opinion would be that using sway bars would actually allow you to soften the ride, in general, yet have less body roll when cornering hard.
Having the sway bars on the car gives you options. I always try to have as many options available to me as possible when tuning a cars suspension.
Ted's sway bar option is the best I have seen for the GTM. If you want a front sway bar, and can get it, get it from Ted.

Hello, Crash. Good to hear from you again.
I figured Ted is the man for the job. In the near future, if he'd bless me with some of his time to build a sway bar, I'd definitely be grateful :)

I have been waiting for 2 years for one of his sway bars. Every time I inquire about it he says he still does not have any. Please let me know if he gets some more.

He doesn't have one made. I think it's because the demand is low. Maybe if requests are rising, he might be in the mood to make more. I'll definitely let you know if he tells me anything.

It sounds like you all need to organize and present him with a group buy.
I can see how building one sway bar kit would be expensive and a labor pain.
But building 5 sway bars kits, then I bet you would have his attention.

That's sometimes a hard thing to pull together for a GTM. Not impossible, just difficult.

I'm here after my third track weekend in my R. For some reason they are had a factory front sway bar which I release not supposed to be there so I removed it. I was getting a lot of understeer and tight corners and that fixed that immediately. But now it's a little too lively in the rear so I'd like to add or sway bar back to the front but something lighter and adjustable. I'm thinking of looking at straight bar options like they use on circle track cars Just don't know what thickness to start with.

I beg your pardon if I am missing something, but I don't see any other posts from you in this thread, and I don't know what an "R" is? Are you maybe posting in the wrong thread? If you have a front sway bar on a GTM, where did you get it? As a suggestion to helping you tune your car, always go to the end that is not sticking and try and improve traction before reducing the end that is "working". If you put a sway bar on the front to try and reduce traction in the front, then, well, IMHO you are working in the wrong direction. First do everything you can to try and get the end of the car that is not sticking to do so. If you really are here talking about a GTM, let me tell you that my experience is that the GTM is ultra sensitive to rake. You can adjust rake to get the car to balance traction front to rear in many cases. Especially under turn in, and the shocks are ultra important in controlling weight transfer under acceleration. My suggestion is that you start with modest sway bars as an optional tuning aide that is available to you, but really concentrate on shocks and weight transfer in order to get the car to do what you want it to do.
