Looking for an accessory drive kit that could allow for a lower mounting position of the alternator. CVF only seems to sell what they call “high mount”.

Some guys I have noticed here are successfully tucking the alternator down lower.
Any advice would be appreciated

I’ll be running a 302w platform

I ended up adding power steering. This is the set I used for a 351 Windsor setup. Pretty sure they make a set for the 302

Here are a couple photos. Original setup and then with power steering.

Just remember that if you are using a GM SAGINAW style pump that you need a Heidts Valve or a Flow Restrictor if your pump doesn't already have one.

Ford style power steering racks will often feel over boosted without something to slow the flow.

That mount may interfere with the 4" on the round tube chassis cars; however, it may be the a good solution for the MK-5 and Gen-3 Type-65 Coupe.

I did not know this. Do you have a suggestion where a good place to mount that is? (I tend to tuck things up out of the way)

I did not know this.

My wife's cousin and I learned this the hard way when we installed a SBC in a Fox Body Mustang many, many, many moons ago.
The new rack and pinions may be preset to deal with the increased pressure of the Saginaw Pump.
It is just a concern that stuck with me from 30-35 years ago.

This also works for adjusting the pressure and allows you to fine tune the feel.

You can get a Saginaw pump already valved for a Mustang Power Steering Pump.

Here is the one I used. Nothing special needed to run it.

"With 850 psi valve for use with Mustang II rack."

I wonder if the PS pumps in the CVF or March kits already address this?
The Blueprint crate engines come “drop in ready” and I haven’t seen anything on this until now.

Anyone know the pressure requirements for the non-Mustang 2?
The OB said “ The rack is the stock 1989 to 1993 mustang not a mustang second generation”
