Hello
I installed the ebrake mode ie427 suggested on his YouTube channel. I have a newer MK4. I bought a handle from a 04 Mustang, cables for a 94-98 Mustang. The cables are a couple of inches too long. Anybody know how to take the slack out of e-brake cables? Does anybody have the contact info for ie427?
Thanks

I’ve emailed Frank at i.e.427garage@gmail.com
My setup used 2015 cables which are different but it’s not too bad to shorten both the inner and outer cable.
Here’s a video as an example-

After you shorten the inner cable something like this is a good way to secure it 212776
But I’m not familiar with your setup so I’d give Frank a ping.
Good luck.

There is adjustment in the Mustang handle. You do however need to pin the spring so it does not unwind when you release the stop. There are a number of videos on YouTube including some from LMR that go through the adjustment procedure. I just finished the same install on the King's Cobra project and had no issue with the cables being too long.

Thanks all. I bought a single hole crimping sleeve kit and will shorten the cable. I plan on using my wire hydraulic crimping tool to crimp it on the cable. Hopefully this works.
