I haven’t posted on here in a while. I had to put my MK4 build on hold for a while. But I’m getting back to work on it. As a result, I’ve made some changes to my drivetrain. Long story short I have a transmission I’m not going to use. It is a brand new Tremec TKX. It has never been run. I removed the tab as instructed in the manual. I bolted it onto a bare block for mock-up to check my parking brake clearances then it sat on a pallet (indoors) for a year. Part number TCET18085. Ford configuration with 1.125 26 Spline input and 31 spline output. Gear ratios are below.
1st: 3.27:1
2nd:1.98:1
3rd:1.34:1
4th:1.00:1
5th: 0.72:1
I’m willing to sell it at a loss. My cost was $3,111.75 after tax. Price kind of depends on if I have to ship it. I’d prefer to pass it on to someone somewhat local rather than having to pay shipping costs. I live in Central North Carolina and am willing to deliver it or meet up halfway somewhere within a couple hundred miles. So, if anyone is interested just let me know. I can provide pictures if anyone wants them. Asking price without shipping is $2,375.00 essentially $750 off. Thanks.
