Hello
I have a blueprint engine 427 with the Holley Sniper FI. I think the pressure for the Holley is 58 PSI. Does anybody know the flow rate? Also, does anybody have a suggestion on a good, not too expensive, in-tank Fuel pump? Any good suggestions on Nicop fuel line size, fittings etc? Thanks for the help.

I bought a Walbro/TI GSS340 (255 LPH) from eBay for under $100 a year and a half ago. I went with generic brands with good reviews for the inline fuel filter (replaceable element), fuel pressure regulator, etc. So far, they seem to be good stuff. I remember finding a few websites for the recommended Nicop fuel line sizes, but I ended up going with 3/8" PTFE (cheap kit on eBay with AN fittings). I think my return line is 1/4", but I am not 100% on that. My setup is a modernized/modified 428FE with an Edelbrock Proflo4 port EFI on it (500-550hp??). It is setup for 58PSI.

Hope this helps give some direction to research...hopefully others with the Blueprint/Sniper setup will chime in with a more direct answer.

I used a Walbro in-tank pump for my 427. Check my build thread for all the detail.

Holley makes a Fox-body Mustang in tank fuel pump for their Sniper setup -- Holley Sniper EFI 12-345+ 340 LPH pump kit. Reasonably priced (under $300) and the 340 LPH should be more than adequate for your setup. I'd highly recommend 3/8" supply and return lines, with -6AN fittings. Rigid lines (e.g. Nicop or whatever) is fine, although many including me are using SS flex now instead. Easy to install and no adapter fittings required to go from rigid to flex.

Paul - This is what I have also. I have a 351W/427, Aero fuel pressure regulator, 3/8" return/supply lines, and the Holley Sniper 12-345+ pump.

Recently tried to start the car and saw some gas "spray" from the fuel pump. On further investigation, it seems that the fuel pump doesn't really want to seat well in the fuel tank. The locking mechanism / o-ring still allows for a decent amount of wiggling. It doesn't seem like that is normal? It sounds like you've used this setup extensively - any suggestions on what to do?

I did try to buy the Pro M Racing fuel hanger. It looks like it has a more true fit that would work better with the fuel tank holes. But Pro M has been completely unresponsive after >1 month so I cancelled the order.

Thanks
Russell

I wonder if Pro-M is out of business. I tried to hit their website a few times in the last week or two, and I get a "page not found" browser error. And no, that Holley fuel pump shouldn't have any play when installed. Maybe the ears on the fuel tank could be bent down a hair to help engagement?

I used the same 12-345 as Paul with PTFE stainless braided 3/8 fuel lines and Holley Sniper. Only 3500 miles but zero issues.

I haven't personally used the Holley pump. Sorry if I left that impression. I've used the Pro-M hangar in four builds with zero issues. But they've raised the price so much that maybe no longer the best choice. Especially if they're not responsive or even not in business. I suggested the Holley pump because it was included in an engine purchase I made recently from another forum member. The original package was put together by Forte. It looks decent and I will be giving it a try. I also mentioned the Aeromotive because several other forum members have successfully used it. I find Aeromotive products to be to notch. So wouldn't hesitate to buy one myself.

Regarding your issue. "Spraying?" There isn't any pressure in the tank. If the pump isn't properly seated into the tank, e.g. with the right O-ring, retainer, etc. then it will leak when the tank is full, gas sloshing around, etc. But it don't think it would spray. Makes me wonder if you used the right connectors into the pump, or maybe they're not tight. The connectors aren't regular -6AN. They're male straight cut O-ring. Is that what you have? With O-rings? Let us know. Good luck.

I had a Walbro 255 pump and it was crazy noisy, so I swapped it out for a Deatschwerks pump which is whisper-quiet. I've had great luck with them in the past.

I bought this fuel pump from QFS for my MK3 build. I intend to use a 427 in the car with either Flow Pro or Sniper.

So it may sound crazy, but we used this in our Mustang and had zero issues after our Walbro died

I'm using the Aeromotive 340 fuel pump and hanger - 18638, along with the canister filter 12317, and regulator - 13130 with -6AN PTFE fuel lines.

I’m a big Aeromotive fan. Using their 340 pump, X1 regulator and -8AN flex lines, feed and return.
