Why ask me to refresh and log in?

I'm trying to become more comfortable with this forum. Here's a question I asked last year 2011.

Just this happen to me again while answering a question.

"I probably missed it somewhere, but is there a "timing-out" of a log in "thingy"?. I've been in the middle of replying to a thread on a couple separate ocassions and I'll hit "post quick reply" and it asks me to refresh and log in. I guess I'm just typing to slow or by the time I finish my research and train of thought I get "timed out"."

Hello, what you are describing is usually an indication that your browser settings need to be tweeked. Make sure you have cookies turned on. What browser ate you running? Also, make sure you check the "Remember Me" checkbook when you log in.

Also, we changed the IP address of the site last week so make sure your cache is cleared. It could be attempting to hit the old IP address...

What an odd coincidence... my wife changed our cache last week too; she took it all!!
