I have a fairly mundane question regarding the thread on my T5 shift lever. Any know what it might be? I was gifted a couple of shift knobs for Christmas and am having a hard time finding thread adaptors that fit the lever.
Thanks,
Hank

The only way to be sure is to get a thread gauge and check it.
Stuff like this.

Thanks! I have thread checker in my Amazon cart, just dropped the question here first to see if there was a common thread size.

Bought the thread checker. Shift lever is 3/8-24 and the gift knobs are M12-1.25. Thought on where to find adaptors?

My answer for most niche things like this is Amazon.

Maybe something like this?

McMaster-Carr has several options like this: https://www.mcmaster.com/92499A950/

Greg,
Amazon only seems to have metric to metric and SAE to SAE adaptors. Was hoping someone else may have encountered this.

Thanks,
I did not think about McMaster-Carr. They are better priced than accu-components
maybe these will work? https://www.mcmaster.com/products/metric-thread-adapters/thread-adapters-2~/inch-to-metric-male-female-hex-thread-adapters/?s=metric-thread-adapters
