Just got it in the mail today. I can't want to try it out. $800 at the Grand National Roadster show...shipped!

Erik,

You're gona love the P/S and that's an awesome price. Couple of things to watch out for - you'll probably need to reclock it on the FFR bracket depending on which oil pan you have. The adapters from the P/S unit to the rack and steering wheel were kind of an odd size and difficult to find. 9/16 if I remember correctly. When we were out doing the 1 week 33 build for HotRod magazine (I know 1 week and the guys here did it in 48 hours...), I helped Lang (LK Motorsports) put one on his green Hot Rod. We drove it on the lift w/o P/S and off with P/S. You really get a good idea of the difference with P/S, especially when stopped or driving slow.

Thanks, I just figured out that reclocking was simply redrilling the holes to rotate the unit/motor downward away from the oil pan. I texted Stack and he said the same thing. And I have the stock pan and it still hits. It's about 3/8" off. Bummer. So yes, I'll redrill to clear both the oil pan and the oil filter. Can't wait to try it. And yes, the 48hour build was tough but luckily we didn't do power steering and many other time consuming options. You'll see on 4/4!

Henry is right. pretty sure the adapters are specific to that unit. I think I paid around $50.0 for both joints. I did not have to reclock that last one I did. Everything cleared with a stock pan and oil filter. Not sure why they would be different.

Yeah, mine would not fit so I drilled some new holes. I've got HR240. But it's in there now. Then of course I realized the U-joints weren't in there like you said. I see U-joints are $76 a piece through Uni-Steer. Which "adapters" did you guys buy? You didn't need to buy new U-Joints? The ones needed are 3/4 DD/ 30 spline 9/16.

How are you clearing the stock (FL1-A size) oil filter? Erik, can you post a picture of that?

Yes, you will need to buy the unique universals.

Sure, I'll post up some pics of the whole thing. I also called Unisteer and they extended the "show special" for the Ujoints (part number 8050250) for $50ea shipped! Bummer is I have to wait with may car apart and it's 78 degrees outside!

Don't you wear a girdle to hide your muffin top? You need to stop calling me a girl and stop calling that girdle a back brace! :)
