Good day all. I brought my MK3.1 chassis home on Friday and finally got around the working on it today.

Step 1 was to weld on the FFR upgrade control arm mounts. After I was done that, I was test fitting the control arm and it hits the square tubing on the end of the control arm threads. I used the FFR supplied template and I believe I have it welded correctly. It hits on both the LH and RH sides. In the FFR instructions this bar does not appear to be there. Any ideas on a fix?

Thanks
Todd

Use a thick hard washer between the chassis plate and cross shaft on both ends to move the arm outward and eliminate the conflict.

Thanks Jeff, I had pondered the same thing, but wasn't sure if this contact was normal when doing the upgrade.
