Hi All -

I have a set of Inatrim seats inbound for my MK1. I want to make the seats adjustable. What is the most effective seat track are you using for this application?

Thanks!

Mark

I am in the process of mounting mine now. I have the stoneleigh. I am using a set of Sparco seat sliders. I have only mocked them up but plan to have them hard mounted as early as this weekend. The first link is the set I bought and the second is the current version of the same set. They sit narrower so you have to modify the handle with a tube bender to make them work right.

If you go to my most recent build thread I just started touching on it. You can see how they fit on them though.

Jessie and I were just talking about this. These are the tracks that Intatrim provides with their seats. I haven't measured them or even know if they work for our application, but they have made quite a few seats for Cobras.

The Breeze angled mounts are 14" in length front to back. These tracks are 12.5", so could work together, but not sure about the giant handle thingy.

When I talked to Robin at Inatrim, he told me to just get them in the US. So, I will give these a look, but any other suggestions are appreciated.

I took a look at my Breeze seat mounts and ironically the plate that attaches to the base of the seat fits almost perfectly across the width of the Intatrim seat.

The Breeze plates come with 4 threaded holes already drilled to secure the seat. I'm not sure what the bottom of the Intatrim seat is made from? Assuming wood, pressed wood or some kind of composite. Or how thick it is. The bottom of the seat comes out and I'm thinking maybe an inch or so of thickness? So the question would be what's the best way to mount the bottom of the seat through these threaded holes that would be strong enough to hold long term, if it is indeed some kind of wood.

I don't think it would be possible to drill a hole for a few bolts, thread them through with a nut as the bottom of the seat has a plastic cover. Probably would end up coming through the seat anyway. I could drill one more hole in the plate for a total of 6 and use larger wood screws. I sent Rob a note to see what he thought as those tracks would have to attach the same way.

Breeze plate looks like this:

I had reached out to Chad about the Breeze mounts. I have the Stoneleigh so I can't tip back as far so I don't think I can use them. I just mounted my sliders tonight and used some thick washers to create a little tilt. Details in my build thread

Looks good Jessie! I’m going to use the Breeze mount and use a button head bolt from the inside out that will thread into the Breeze plate. Just have to measure for the right position. Body goes on tomorrow and I’ll get it measured out.

The Breeze plate makes it a little easier as the seat bolts on the the base plate and just 4 nuts if it needs to be removed.
