I have an early MK4 with the T-Bird IRS and drove it yesterday after the Winter hybernation.
I've noticed Squeaks coming from the suspension when I go over a bump or driveway curb.
All parts (rubber bushings, etc) were new when I built it 10+ years ago.
I don't recall any grease fittings in the rear suspension. I have spray graphite (but man that stuff is a mess and gets all over everything)

Any suggestions for resolving the squeaks? Has anyone else experienced this? I don't recall any previous posts.
I plan to get it up on jack-stands tomorrow, but didn't know where to start and trying to manipulate the suspension may be difficult to replicate.

Yes. Same problem. In trying to isolate the squeak, I sprayed some lube on the bushings. Noise went away and stayed away.

Best of luck,

Nige

You could try spray lithium grease.

Thanks Steno, didn't know lithium grease came in a spray. I'll give that a try.

Don’t use petroleum grease on the bushings, they are synthetic. Use silicone grease or spray lube.

No issues on mine with Poly bushings (25rs) and NO grease on any heim joint. That's not the best idea because it attracks dirt/grime. If you're going to jack it up, put the rears on "boxes" or something to hold the car weight so you can load the suspension. Have someone "bounce" the car while you try to isolate. Don't forget to check shocks/springs mounts.

I lubed the bushings only. No lube on Heim joints.
