Grade of Aluminium for FFR Panels

Does anyone know the grade of aluminium FFR uses for the engine bay and interior panels? I want to make custom footbox panel for my RHD coupe, and I ordered some 1mm (20 gauge) aluminium sheet (same gauge as the FFR panels I think) which turned out to be very soft and too easy to bend. I found out this was 1050 H14 grade, so I suspect FFR uses a different grade as their panels are stiffer and more springy. Does anyone know what grade they use?

It's printed all over the panels when you receive them, and their website talks about the panels, as well. It is indeed 6061 .040".

There are various grades of 6061. Each with slightly different properties. Everything I've received from Factory Five was ink-marked with 6061-T6. One of the most common and has desirable properties for our builds. Lots of sites on the web explain the differences.

The "T6" grade means it is hardened and that is what you want. There are grades of 6061 from T1 to T6 each get harder.

I see other builders pictures that clearly show the thickness and grade, but my coupe I picked up in July 2024 dont have any markings at all. Im not sure if mine is an oddball or if FF changed suppliers and the new supplier doesn't mark their sheets.

Same here. Took delivery of my roadster in July and the panels didn’t have any markings on them.
