I'm told because the 9 inch pinion is 2.5 inches below the housing centerline and the 8.8 pinion is 1.5 inches below the housing centerline that this will not work. I got a beautiful 3.70 truetrac rear end just ready for any fox body mustang. I cant turn back now. Please, anyone with experience on that give me a little help. No, i have not received my 33 kit yet. It will come at the end of the month, but i'm already sweating the issue.

I think it will come down to where you set ride height. There is a not a lot of room and length with driveshaft depending on trans. I am running T5 with 8.8 and dont like fact that at full droop the drive shaft hits where it goes thru frame. I plan on installing limiter straps.

I got some info from Arrowhead where he so called "fishholed" his opening in the chassis to prevent drive shaft bind. I'm going to pursue that concept. I get the chassis next week. after the fit-up, hate to say it, but the saw may have to come out. I think it would be great to open this area up, lot of complaints about the drive shaft interference. I think this area could be boxed in and opened up. Please reply back if you have done this, picture of how you strengthend the area back up would be great.

The 33 driveshaft is twice as long as the roadster version, so driveshaft angle isn't as much of an issue. You might need some minor mods, but it should work for you.
