I have been lurking on this site for a long time and finally got around to requesting a login....

Like most everyone here, I have loved Cobras for a long time. I finally bought one last year. Mine is a Unique, but I like the interaction on this site and the support all of you give each other is really second to none!

Thanks for allowing me to join!

Welcome! And yes this community is fantastic. A big part of my purchase decision to go with Factory Five was because of the support of this forum. The friends I've made since then has been the best part of owning one of these cars.

Looks great! I think your driver's seat shoulder belts need to be swapped, so the ends sit next to each other inboard. Not sure how they would lock in, the way you have them. Maybe they're just crossed up behind the seat.

GB - well, I had not noticed how the Drivers belts were placed. Honestly, in the little driving I have done since I got the car, II have only used the lap belt. they may just be crossed in the photo, I will have to check, but I think they are just crossed.

Greg and cadtdi,
Not sure what you're seeing that would make you think the belts need to be swapped but maybe I'm missing it  Here's how they're supposed to be which aside from the missing 5th point strap appears to be how yours are:

I like your interior - goes well with exterior colors. I think the shoulder belts on your DS are just crossed over in the back. The "L" shaped buckles should lie flat against each other (like Jeff's picture above) when they slide onto the tongue of the harness. Like you said, you probably haven't used them so no worries.

Welcome to the forum.

You definitely want to get in the habit of wearing the full harness, especially without the benefit of other safety gear.

Watch this video and you will be convinced that you should wear it every time!

Jeff-

In his original pic, the two shoulder belt ends....the metal bits that connect in the lock...they should lay parallel and against each other, in the center of the lock. They way the pic shows it, they are "outboard" away from each other, so they don't don't lay parallel and against each other. I think that's because his belts are crossed behind the seat, so the left belt is the right, and the right is the left. If he uncrosses them, they'll be correct, and will lock into the locking mechanism.

Yeah...I added that pic as a reference for what "correct" looks like.
