Hi everyone,
I'm working on the CMCV vacuum plumbing for our gen 3 Coyote. From reading the forum it seems we should not follow FF instructions. I've read edwardb's posts really closely ( at https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?26630-Edwardb%92s-Gen-3-Type-65-Coyote-Coupe-59-Build-5-000-Mile-Report&p=351623&viewfull=1#post351623 ) and get the gist, but I'm trying to figure out how to translate this to our engine, which somehow looks a little different.
Picture is below. Pardon the rainbow. In edwardb's build, he basically caps off the main vacuum port (yellow arrow), and runs a connection from purge vacuum port (blue arrow) to the CMCV vacuum connection (red arrow). Then there's a T coming off that connection that I believe runs directly to the vacuum connection on the fuel regulator. Again, still all good, I think.
My questions however pertain to purple circle and green circle. Looking at green circle, if you follow it back it attaches to the CMCV vacuum connection and I assume gets deleted as part of edward's mod and others that do this similarly. Just want to make sure that's correct. My bigger question is about the purple circle, which connects to the purge vacuum port (again, blue arrow). That has a sensor on it, so if I do the edwardb mod, then I lose that sensor, which I assume causes problems.
Thoughts?
