View Full Version : Sandwich Plate For Oil Pressure and Temp

Hey Y'all,
I am doing a 289, that is carbed 5.0 done up like a 60's motor.
I wanted to put a sandwich plate in for the oil sensors.
If anyone has done this could you let me know which one you used? There are many and with slight differences.

Yep, I did this on my 427 stroker. Bought it on Amazon. See my build thread, post #183 for pics. I purchased one from Summit Racing, made by Earls. It was billet, and not cast. It had one hole drilled and tapped for a sensor. It was pretty easy drill and tap a second hole.

I used a CVR oil cooler sandwich adapter that I drilled out to open it up.
I only used one of the holes and capped off the other.

I looked at that one as well and was trying to find one to avoid drilling more. I am trying the other one first to see if it works out.
