Hi, I'm Bill and I own ffmetal.com. I'm getting ready to offer some custom replacement panels for your Cobra.
I'm working on some new firewalls, both in standard configuration and in extended configuration to give you a bit more room behind the dash to enable you to hide things like ECUs and other electrical components. Both will be .090 thick to give a lot more rigidity to the firewall, enabling you to bolt on things like mechanical throttle linkages and such. No flex in these firewalls. Also, with the extended version, the tops of the footboxes will not have that unattractive tab riveted to it, it will attach to the bottom side of the firewall. I'm thinking of making footbox tops with the long tab folded down which would also allow those panels to be mounted under the standard configuration firewalls (either with FFR's .040 firewall or my .090 firewall).
I'm also working on a replacement tunnel top without the shifter hole (but retaining the new e-brake handle hole), and it would be .060 thick to make it feel more substantial under your arm. I think it's best to start without a shifter hole so you can make it exactly the size you need it.
So, I'm looking for a couple guys who would be willing to try out a few new parts and provide feedback.
